We had the pleasure of revamping this stunning estate in East Kelowna for our lovely clients whom we had also completed a barn renovation for. Our clients love the look of Tuscan-meets-Farmhouse, and wanted to keep their existing travertine tiled floors. This was somewhat of a challenge as we often are removing travertine these days, however we pulled together a scheme that ensured we would complement the warm creamy tones and make them blend and belong. We are so proud of the end result and love how we have given a fresh new life to the tile. We picked a neutral paint with warm undertones, with creamy whites throughout. We contrasted this with rich ebony stained timber to serve as a major wow-factor within the living room beams, stair railing, and new custom dining millwork + wine cellar. We created a cabinet that would conceal a TV that was important to incorporate, as our client's love to watch cooking shows while in the kitchen. The open shelves on either side of the millwork are concealed with sliding barn doors when the TV is in use, with a bar fridge and storage located below. The wine cellar was another major focal point, knowing this, we wanted to include as much rich character and charm to nod to the Tuscan feel of the home. We designed a stunning stone feature with a keystone archway, with a custom black-steel grid door and many mixed-display options. Between the custom millwork that includes an X-display, cubbies, and an angled row along the top, similar to a retail store, + peg mounts, and double row side-displays, we created a special feature for our clients love of wine.
