MOD Salon is already one of the most stunning spaces in Kelowna, we were thrilled to be a part of their "lipstick-refresh". Although we can't take credit for the original design, we were thrilled to be a part of their revamp-update. Tabatha the owner of MOD Salon wanted a mini-refresh to push their space more towards a masculine-feel in contrast with their second location, MOD Style Bar, which has an ultra feminine-glam vibe throughout. We redesigned a new reception desk to include custom charcoaled cedarwood planks + a gold logo, concrete countertops, and a large sputnik chandelier that can be seen from the street. We designed a more functional desk to include space for two receptionist stations, and a gift wrapping storage cubby for tissue and bags. The retail display received an update that included new floating black shelves and a glamorous lacquered-cabinet to highlight all of MOD's favourite haircare and merchandise. We sourced new wallpaper for the feature wall that gave a gentleman's-Art Deco feel to the space, with geometric black and gold details, which tied in perfectly with the salon's branding. The bathroom received a new brushed-gold faucet, light, and mirror. *Floor tile, wood mirrors, colour bar cabinet + washing shelves, love ball, gallery wall, gold dome light fixtures, + neon signs are original.
